The Project Engineer is part of a team reporting to the Chief Maintenance Engineer.

What you will do:

• Provide technical support to the Mill Operations and Maintenance Departments
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; making feasibility and economic studies of alternative plans
• Perform engineering assignments for a wide range of mechanical, structural, civil, and environmental projects including foundation, structural and mechanical design
• Perform professional cost analyses and value engineering duties
• Assist in establishing, modifying, and achieving the department\'s safety programs
• Assist in the technical direction and training of engineering and operations personnel; providing technical guidance and work supervision for engineering, technical and professional staff as needed
• Monitor the work of service providers to ensure that all regulations are being followed and work is being done safely

What you will bring:

• A Bachelor\'s Degree from a recognized university in the field of Engineering
• Eligibility for Professional Engineer status in Saskatchewan (APEGS)
• Varying levels of Engineers will be considered (Engineer-in-Training, Engineer, Sr. Engineer)
• Several years practical and progressively responsible experience in a heavy industrial environment is an asset
• Experience in project management, including the ability to supervise the work of other professional and technical staff and contractors/consultants is preferred
• Positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
