Are you an experienced draughtsperson with a passion for designing and managing projects in the resource sectors? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a talent for using AutoCAD to create custom modular metal buildings? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a skilled draughtsperson with a background in AutoCAD designing and project management to join our dynamic team. As a draughtsperson with us, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting projects in the resource sectors, designing and managing the construction of custom modular metal buildings. Responsibilities:

• Produce building GA\'s (general arrangements)
• Produce steel frame fabrication detail drawings
• Produce sheet metal fabrication drawings
• Identify potential operational issues and recommend solutions
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
• Create as-built packages for completed projects
• Create Bills of Materials from designs
• Collaborate with Production Staff for changes and revisions
• Interface with Client Design team to produce collaborative design solutions
• Basic Project management for Design Related activities
• Manage Sub Contracted Engineering and Key Vendor inputs related to design.
• Jointly create inspection points and plans for critical hold points.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a drafter (please submit examples with resume)
• Good math skills and ability to perform accurate calculations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Hands-on experience with 2D CAD software
• Experience in design with 3D (benefit not a must)
• Ability to produce highly accurate drawings and details
• Experience in structural steel and sheet metal design

Your responsibilities will also include using AutoCAD to create detailed technical drawings, collaborating with designers and engineers to ensure accuracy and efficiency, and managing projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to. You will also be responsible for liaising with clients to ensure their specific requirements are met and delivering exceptional customer service. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in technical drawing principles and be proficient in using AutoCAD software. You should also have project management experience, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
