Key Responsibilities: As a Project Development Coordinator, your role will include the following roles and responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Estimating & Finance Departments to facilitate feasibility studies for new projects.
Coordinate the creation of an Architectural Charter, outlining detailed project requirements and design standards for architects to ensure Company best practices are implemented.
Coordinate due diligence process for new project sites.
Engage and manage relationships with consultants necessary for producing the Development Permit application documents.
Facilitate the administration of preliminary drawings, ensuring internal circulation among stakeholders to ensure best practices are implemented.
Serve as the primary point of contact for consultants and internal management to resolve issues and answer queries related to project design and development.
Oversee project timelines, ensuring that all parties, including architects and consultants, adhere to schedule constraints and milestones.
Coordinate shallow services 4-party agreement.
Coordinate Building Permit Application and Release.
Review drawings to ensure continuity between various developments, efficiency of site design, seek cost saving measures and ensuring that best practices are implemented.
Other duties as assigned by the SVP Construction/Senior Estimating Manager Skills & Abilities: To excel in this role, you should possess:
Post Secondary Education or technical certification in Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in project coordination, preferably within the construction or real estate development industry.
Strong understanding of the design and development process, including regulatory and permitting requirements.
Proficient conflict resolution and customer service skills
Ability to negotiate with clients, contractors and vendors.
Understanding of when situations should be escalated to appropriate members of management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adjust communication style to various personality types.
Experience working with AutoCAD and Bluebeam would be an asset.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
High degree of attention to detail.
Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments
Ability to work in a team or independently.
Ability to consistently meet changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve through issues.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Strong ability to develop interpersonal relationships with internal staff and external trades/suppliers.
