Marid Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Project Coordinator to join our team! This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our growing team. As part of the Infrastructure team you will work alongside our production, purchasing, and finance teams to ensure we meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional client service.

The Project Coordinator will support the upcoming MacDonald Bridge rehabilitation project. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the planning, administration, communication and technical management of this project. Coordinating the timely and efficient completion of projects in a fast-paced work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish project and task timelines and schedules, actively referring to and assessing the project's scope of work.
• Support the Project Manager to ensure successful and timely project completion.
• Accurately assist in estimating and pricing changes to contracts, site instructions, contemplated change orders, vouchers, etc.
• Accurately coordinate all shop work with the specified job requirements.
• Receive, prepare and distribute site drawings.
• Assist in monitoring subcontractor work, to ensure compliance with company standards, safety and quality programs, policies, and procedures.
• Work to ensure the timely ordering of materials in accordance with project demands and schedules.
• Establish a workplace housekeeping routine ensuring the facility's safety and cleanliness.
• During job site visits, accurately take pictures and dimension measurements needed.
• Review time sheets daily to ensure completeness for jobs.
• Continuously maintain accurate, up-to-date, site planning spreadsheets.
• Issue purchase orders.
• Assist in verifying QC of site work.
• Prepare Reports, memos, documents.
• Ensure sub-contractor documentation requirements are completed.
• Prepare job work authorizations.
• With a high safety awareness, proactively contributes to initiatives for the ongoing prevention and elimination of accidents and incidents in the workplace.

Working Conditions:

• This role is required to regularly visit construction sites, work outdoors and may be exposed to inclement weather conditions.
• This role is expected to work at heights when visiting bridge sites.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education: Diploma in Construction Management, or Engineering Degree from a recognized educational institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• 1+ year of experience in project coordinator or construction coordinator role, or equivalent combination of education and experience•.•
• Experience with financial and accounting procedures is considered an asset.
• Experience working in the Manufacturing/Construction industry is an asset.

Skills:

• Strong organizational, time management, attentional to detail and prioritizing abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities (verbal & written).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Demonstrated problem solving and logical thinking skills; strong math and analytical thinking abilities.
• Superior active listening and customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs (excel, outlook, word, teams),
• Working knowledge of general office and financial accounting procedures is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with contract administration and the structural steel industry would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work at heights to support bridge work.
