PROJECT COORDINATOR, PATIENT, FAMILY & CONSUMER EDUCATION Part Time Temporary ( Approx. 19 Months )
Non-Union
Reporting to the Manager, Training & Simulation, the Project Coordinator will provide support for the education, program evaluation, research, and knowledge exchange activities of the department, specifically, Baycrest’s Project ECHO Care of the Elderly. Focus is on the planning, implementation and sustainability of a National Geriatric Mental Health program assisting with analysis, and connecting with key project stakeholders and partners.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to project work and manage the day to day activities of Baycrest’s National ECHO Care of the Elderly Project
  • Create and manage project plans and documents including: scope management plans, schedules, communication management plans, recruitment plans, issue logs and change logs
  • Lead and manage program evaluation and research efforts through research design and planning, data management, review of data analysis, and regular meetings with research evaluation team
  • Coordinate recruitment of learning partners and liaise with primary care providers
  • Support preparation and presentation of didactic lectures by specialists as well as clinical cases by primary care providers for ECHO sessions
  • Participate in and manage ECHO sessions including sending out follow-up documents or information as necessary
  • Support management with the development of activity and financial reports, and provide advanced analysis and synthesis of data to proactively support change management activities
  • Skillfully manage planning and facilitation of meetings/committees, needs/gap analysis, delivery of strategy and project plan into actionable items
  • Work collaboratively with partners at Baycrest, Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health (CCSMH) and Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry (CAGP)
  • Other roles related to this project may also be allocated based on the needs of the project and the successful incumbent’s interest/availability

Qualifications include but are not limited to:
  • Master’s degree in a related field (Business Administration, Health Administration, or other related field)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting multi-site projects/programs and experience working with primary care providers in Canada
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • Detail-oriented, with analytical problem-solving ability, ability to prioritize/manage competing deadlines, and ability to translate needs into actionable recommendations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, as well as survey tools
  • Experience with REDCap is an asset
  • Experience working with social media platforms, videoconferencing platforms, polling software and/or website management, is preferred
  • Data analysis experience, and experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in the development of business plans, reports and proposals
  • Knowledge of telemedicine, other services designed to increase access to care, and an understanding of seniors’ care is an asset
  • Project Management Professional Certification and formal project management education is an asset
  • Experience supporting nation-wide strategic initiatives in health care is an asset
  • Excellent coordination, time management and organization skills
