The Mississauga Ontario Health Team (Mississauga Health) is a collaboration of local health care providers from such sectors as acute care, community care, home care, and Long Term Care. A Project Coordinator role with this team offers an opportunity to work with the partners to build the foundations of our Ontario Health Team and make an impact across our community.

The Project Coordinator will work alongside the Mississauga Health team to support the exciting, transformative initiatives, processes and best practices to advance the Ontario Health Team in this community. This includes enabling strategic and operational planning for the OHT as well as supporting success on strategic initiatives and work streams, including partner engagement, digital health, health equity, and others. The ideal candidate exemplifies a commitment to the OHT\xe2\x80\x99s vision and values and demonstrates dedication to a patient-centered approach to delivering quality care, and has experience in digital health, privacy and risk, and/or data analysis.

Research, Analysis and Reporting

  • Support external and internal research and analysis across a broad spectrum of specialties, leveraging business acumen and writing, to create reports, presentations, letters and other documents for both internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in producing and maintaining status reports to leadership on activities and work streams in alignment with leaders in each of those work areas.
  • Developing regular reports, including status reports to governance and leadership.
Project Coordination
  • Liaise with leadership and team members, including of different OHT work streams, to enable integrated communications and ensure successful completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with OHT leadership, project team members, and partners to enable alignment, as well as risk and issue management.
  • Participate in the execution and lead specific elements of key strategic projects;
  • Engage with leadership to develop strategic agendas and materials for meetings and ensure key decisions are captured and action items followed up on.
Supporting Effective Team Operations & Partner Engagement
  • Support stakeholder and partner communications processes, including working with leadership in communicate out across a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
  • Support the team in responding to stakeholder requests, gathering additional information, triaging and referring to leadership as appropriate to ensure requests are addressed in a strategic, timely and coordinated manner.
  • Organize and support the director in scheduling, planning and meetings.
  • Support important team member functions and activities including development of agendas, meeting packages, minutes, tracking milestones, and other duties as required.
  • Participate in knowledge management and records retention to ensure appropriate storage and access to files across team members.
The ideal candidate for this role will display the following qualifications and skills:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, life sciences, health care administration or related discipline required
  • Work experience in healthcare, not-for-profit or government at the corporate level considered an asset
  • Understanding and interest in health system integration and partnerships
  • Experience with project management, excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proactive with an ability to anticipate needs
  • Effective interpersonal, communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and effectively communicate data
  • Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Superior writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft suite skills is a must
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends, developments and regulations in health care and public sector, as well as knowledge of governance and management best practices
Work Environment: (hybrid). Some travel to partner locations may be required.
