Position Summary The Project coordinator- in conjunction with a parallel project position, leads the implementation and delivery of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Program for educators working with children ages 0-6, as well as the Youth Mental Health Grant program initiative designed for children six to twelve years of age. This position provides the Early Childhood Educators workforce access to professional development and resources specific to Mental Health programming to Early Learning and Childcare Centres across Alberta. The position is responsible for the full cycle coordination of the project, program, people and facilitation of the program. This position must be familiar and proficient in the programming and delivery of youth mental health programs. Work Responsibilities:Project Coordination
Leads the team in the implementation of the Youth Mental Health program plan
Develop relationships with ECE\xe2\x80\x99s to increase awareness about Youth Mental Health programming available to their workforce
Identify new partnerships with community stakeholders where youth mental health programming would benefit services
Represent AHVNA at meetings and events and promote Youth Mental Health Programs and resources
Develop evaluation frameworks to collect and analyze data
Interpret program feedback and disseminate results
Monitor project progress and identify changes to program management when required
Generate and present quarterly reports based on performance measurements identified in the grant
Program Coordination
Secure access to approved programs for childcare providers
Provide access to key resources to support program implementation
Ensure programs offered meet industry and grant requirements
Confer with training program team to coordinate training activities and execution
Assist and support program team with connection to virtual training
Communicate training program ideas and information effectively by sharing information with colleagues
Work closely with administrative support positions to complete tasks
Facilitation
Host facilitated discussions to engage ECE\xe2\x80\x99s on practice and knowledge transfer
Deliver course content that assists learners to achieve learning objectives
Use diverse facilitation methods to actively engage learners and encourage participation
Provide support to learners using coaching and mentorship practices
Lead learning groups virtually and in person
Provide basic technology support to learners when u sing online training platforms
Others
Participate in special projects and tasks as they are assigned
Qualifications
Completion of post-secondary education in a certificate, diploma or degree program in a Human Services field such as: Early Learning, Child Care, Social Work, Human Ecology or related field
3+years progressively responsible experience working with children and families in a community-based setting in a leadership role is considered an asset
2+ years project lead or supervisory experience is an asset
A combination of education and/or experience will be considered
Experience leading projects and programming in Mental Health for Youth Ages

Strong webinar and video conferencing technology skills
Strong written communication skills to generate effective grant reports
Ability to develop and facilitate presentations and training to convey information and transfer knowledge

Ability to analyze and evaluate data
Demonstrated knowledge to assess risk and implement program improvements
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with the diverse needs of clients and community stakeholders

This position is a regular full-time position (37.5 hr per week, flexing hours) with a salary range of $28.00 - $35.00 per hour. This position is grant funded with the potential for extension.
