We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Coordinator / Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate estimates and pricing for various projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in construction estimating software, and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and vendors. The Project Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that all estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Developing project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Resource Management:
Managing project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and ensure timely completion.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, and preparing project reports.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, conducting quality control inspections, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Safety Management:
Promoting a culture of safety on projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and participating in company safety training programs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including proposals, schedules, progress reports, and close-out documents.
Financial Management:
Monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and resolving any financial queries.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Project Management Experience:
Experience in planning, executing, and controlling projects, preferably in the fire protection industry. 5+ years experience required.
Knowledge of Fire Protection Systems:
Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, industry standards, and relevant codes and regulations.
Organizational and Multitasking Skills:
Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities:
Ability to identify and resolve project issues and make sound decisions.
Proficiency in Project Management Software:
Familiarity with project management software and tools.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of mechanical piping installations and coordination is often an asset.

Pay: $47,461.30-$104,323.26 per year
