to assist with project setup and support our estimating department. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and cost estimation in the commercial flooring industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, material lists, and cost estimates.
Support project setup activities including documentation, scheduling, and coordination with clients and suppliers.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements and risks.
Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to ensure smooth transitions from bidding to execution.
Track project progress, update budgets, and maintain organized project records.
Prepare RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or quantity surveying (flooring or interior finishes experience preferred).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating software is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
