The project coordinator will:
Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and project specifications;
Coordinate price adjustments and design change cost variances;
Receive and process purchase agreements;
Manage the change order process with guidance from the project manager;
Maintain relationships with trade and supply partners;
Review and approve invoices in collaboration with Accounting Department;
Coordinate job start packages for the field construction team;
Track and issue job start information to trade/supply partners;
Project Meeting minutes and distribution, as required;
Arrange meetings;
Maintain accurate distribution lists;
Review employees timesheets to ensure that information is properly recorded and authorized;
Maintain physical and electronic files and/or organizational systems;
Assist in construction scheduling and distribution.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
We would like you to have:
3-5 years of progressive experience in project coordination and/or project administration;
Hold a post-secondary degree or diploma in civil engineering technology, architectural technologist, construction management, project management, estimating or related discipline. Relevant alternate experience will be considered;
Detail oriented;
Previous experience with job task planning, decision making and problem solving;
Able to work with all levels of employees from senior management to subcontractors;
Ability to work in a team, and maintain quality service;
Critical thinking skills;
Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
Ability to manage conflicting priorities;
Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, etc.).
