What will you be doing!



Category Strategy and Planning: + Conducting market research and analysis, internally and externally and determining strategic details to support strategy and identify potential contractors.
+ Establishing strategic relationships with key contractors aligned with the company's needs.
+ Identifying new contractors, agreeing to terms, and negotiating supply arrangements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates, with the company's best interest in mind.
+ Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the overall project and bundling options.
+ Applying professional judgement using a graded approach commensurate with the nature and risk of the specific acquisition.
Acquisition: + Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and various subject matter experts to identify requirements and execute a strategy to meet expectations.
+ Building strategic relationships and networking opportunities with Stakeholders and suppliers.
+ Preparing all commercial bid documents.
+ Developing a bid evaluation matrix with support from the technical team.
+ Managing the entire bid process by:
- Leading bidder meetings with all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring risks and opportunities related to the procurement are identified, assessed, mitigated and managed effectively throughout the process.
- Managing and maintaining the integrity of the bid process.
- Coordinating technical evaluations and conducting commercial evaluations, including normalization of all compliant proposals.
- Preparing a final vendor recommendation for senior management.
- Reviewing all comments and exceptions taken to the proposed form of agreement and working with Legal Counsel to negotiate a final agreement.
Contract Management: + Providing post-award contract oversight during the execution of the contract, where applicable.
+ Maintaining comprehensive procurement files, documenting contractual requirements and communications.
+ Resolving complex/ diverse professional business service issues.
+ Identifying and recommending improvements to processes that affect one's own area and others/clients.
+ Developing and maintaining procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics
+ Monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as necessary.
+ Preparing reports on contract status, performance metrics and key issues and risks for senior management.
+ Coordinating/participating in "lessons learned" meetings in a manner that captures and communicates any lessons learned as a result of the procurement process and/or market engagement.

What we are looking for:



Education + Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, legal, or a related field.
+ Minimum 4-7 years of experience in supply chain management, experience with projects and/or construction projects procurements, or related field.
+ An asset is a designation holder or enrolment in the Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL), previously referred to as CSCMP, or enrolment in a relevant Supply Chain Management program (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)).
Experience + Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, contract management, project management, contract law, procurement practices/processes and tasks, emphasizing complex procurements/projects.
+ Formal training and/or demonstrated experience in supply chain management, contract management, negotiations, and/or conflict, claims, and dispute resolution.
+ Experience in a highly regulated or nuclear environment would be an asset.
+ Demonstrated understanding and experience with contract terminology and contract interpretation, contract strategies, pricing models and corresponding contract risks. (ie, DB, DBB, IPD, Target Cost, EPC, etc).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Ability to work independently, establish priorities to meet conflicting deadlines, and to resolve conflicts promptly.
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to a constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with senior management.
+ Strong work ethics and sense of accountability, and a willingness to devote additional/extended hours, when required.
+ Ability to interpret scopes of work, drawings and/or technical specifications, and understand basic technical and quality issues.
+ Excellent skills pertaining to attention to detail, written and oral communication, time management, coordination, planning, organization, problem solving, analysis, strategic planning, research, reporting, customer service, and leadership.
+ Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead others through influence rather than authority.
+ Strong computer skills, and knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Good working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, SharePoint, ATOM, ISNetworld, and E-Sign.
+ Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written documentation.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required + Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a

minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom
