The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Assistant to join our Power Production team. Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, you will join a team of professionals at our Sydney location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Project Assistant, you will provide a high level of support to the to the Power Generation Operations and Standards team.
  • This role will appeal to the professional who enjoys working on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Judgment, initiative, confidentiality, work ethic, quality, and the ability to meet deadlines are important.
  • You will be required to perform at a high level of competency and independence.
  • The Project Assistant will monitor the daily office routine ensuring that all business services are accomplished in an efficient manner.
  • These general responsibilities include but are not limited to, preparation of documents, data entry, payroll, tracking, reporting and follow up on current programs and file management.
You will be responsible for personal safety, that of coworkers, and those under your direction by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

  • You have a grade XII education or equivalent, office administration training, and minimum three to five years of related administrative experience.
  • You have effective communication and organizational skills. You are a self-starter who has the willingness and ability to learn new processes and become competent in the applications required for this position.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are attentive to detail. You are a team player and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • You have a knowledge of current office procedures, proficient typing and computer skills, experience with payroll entry and maintaining database systems. You have a good working knowledge of various software packages (i.e. Peoplesoft, Word, Excel). You must demonstrate your commitment to personal development.
