Your Opportunity:Alberta\'s Tomorrow Project (ATP) is the largest research project ever undertaken in Alberta and resides in Alberta Health Services. ATP was launched in 2000 as a prospective cohort to examine the relationship between environmental, lifestyle, and genetic factors and the incidence of cancer and chronic diseases. ATP aims to increase knowledge about the causes and prevention of cancer and chronic disease by tracking the health and lifestyles of around 55,000 Albertans for up to 50 years. ATP\'s main activities include the collection, processing and storage of data and biosamples as well as building the research platform to support research into cancer and chronic disease. ATP shares data and biosamples with the health research community in universities, health services delivery organizations, and research institutes in Alberta, Canada and abroad using a standard set of access procedures. This is a hybrid role (virtual and onsite), and you will be expected to work onsite (in Calgary) as needed at the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre (RRDTC). The ATP team will be moving to the new state-of-the-art Arthur Child Cancer Centre in late 2024.Description:As a member of a team of Project Assistants, you will be responsible for communicating daily with study participants by phone and email. You will review surveys for completeness and accuracy using a set of standardized procedures. This position will clean data accurately using Microsoft Access and Excel following a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will conduct research surveys over the telephone with study participants for several research projects gathering qualitative and quantitative data. This position will perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate input of participant information. You will assist in the coordination, scanning and tracking of incoming study materials. This position will support the creation and evaluation of all materials intended for ATP participants. You will collaborate with other ATP teams including the Laboratory, Data, Research and Data Access teams.

Required Qualifications:Completion of a bachelor\'s degree in health or life sciences or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Organized, resourceful and self-starting with meticulous attention to detail. Comfortable communicating with the public. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting. Willingness to adapt and assist with additional project tasks as required. Additional Required Qualifications:As required. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in conducting phone surveys is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Access. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative survey design. Experience in clinical, health or patient-focused research.
