The Project Architect, Toronto, ON is responsible to assist in the execution of design projects with a focus on, coordinating design disciplines and and ensuring the technical accuracy/adequacy, safety, constructability, maintainability, cost effectiveness and timely completion of designs, and preparation of construction documents are completed.

• 
  Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
• Assists the Senior Project Architect in planning and developing architectural projects
• Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
• Ultimately responsible for the execution of designs with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary coordination.
• Capable of interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments, staff, and scope of work based on the client\xe2\x80\x99s requirements.
• Utilizes knowledge of computer software to convey the project intent

The Project Architect performs design work for a wide variety of project types, including but not limited to new construction and renovation work primarily for transit and transit related buildings.


Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with major transit project responsibility Preferred.
• (10) or more years of experience as a Licensed OAA Architect who plans, develops, executes, and coordinates medium to large scope projects with many complexities
• Must be familiar with budgeting procedures and practices.
  
• Advanced skills with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, Building Information Modeling (BIM), knowledgeable in the use of Sketch-up, 3D software, Rendering software, Photoshop.
• Advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Must be capable of communicating / presenting concepts through verbal, written, or drawing medium.
• Must have strong graphic presentation skills and abilities to present to clients and project teams.

Education Required:

• Bachelors of Architecture Degree and or a Master of Architecture
• Membership in good standing with the Ontario Association of Architects (with a professional seal as required) is mandatory
