ABOUT THE POSITION

My client, is looking for a project accountant to join their growing and developing finance team! The successful candidate will be supporting the construction development team and will be tackling a wide variety of accounting duties. This position will be based out of their downtown offices on a hybrid basis.

Duties include:

• Full cycle accounting from reviewing accounts payable to assisting with monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements
• Prepare and monitor monthly reports for construction loan draws
• Prepare monthly project-level accounting information and financial reporting, including but not limited to a trial balance review, reconciliation of the general ledger, posting journal entries, and analyzing and explaining variances and ratios.
• Assist the Senior Accountant with the creation and preparation of project status reports of straightforward stand-alone projects.
• Support development and construction teams with commitment setup and ad hoc reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years + of general accounting experience is required ideally within real estate development of construction however not necessary
• Strong level of critical thinking and ability to learn quickly
• Yardi software experience is desired but not essential

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $65,000-$75,000 DOE
• Annual Bonus
• 3 Weeks vacation + extra time off depenant on performance
