Baffinland is looking for a Project Accountant to help facilitate the review of invoices and processing of payments, as well as production of reports and other documentation pertaining to Project vendor accounts.

Main Accountabilities

• Receive and review Project invoices from contractors and vendors.
• Post invoices appropriately to purchase orders to ensure proper budgetary reporting.
• Prepare payment certificates and expedite review and approval process so that payments can be processed in a timely manner.
• Report on invoices and payments on a regular basis.
• Coordinate payment information between Project stakeholders and Finance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Diploma in Accounting and/or equivalent preferred
• Accounts Payable experience required
• Project controls/ Cost Control experience considered an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
• The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and highly analytical, with competency to process & meaningfully interpret large volumes of data.
