Position Summary:



The Program Team Lead supports the Center's mission, vision and values in overseeing the daily operations of the center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children, staff, and families. This role includes staff supervision, ensuring compliance with Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Regulation, Alberta Health standards, supporting curriculum guidelines, and fostering positive relationships with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities:



Administrative Support:



Assist in managing daily center operations and schedules. Help maintain compliance with childcare regulations, and AHS standards. Support the enrollment process, including tours, orientation, and record keeping. Maintain accurate records of children, staff, and center operations. Assist with budget management, supply order and inventory updates. Perform other duties as assigned.

Staff Supervision & Development:



Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, training, orientation and evaluations. Support staff development through mentoring, coaching, and professional growth opportunities. Help manage staff schedules, cover classroom ratios, breaks and absent staff.

Curriculum & Program Support:



Implement Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework. Support implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and learning goals. Monitor classroom environments and teaching practices to ensure quality education. Assist with planning special events, family engagement activities, and community outreach.

Family & Community Engagement:



Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with families. Support family conferences and respond to inquires, concerns promptly and effectively. Promote the center's values, mission, and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Health, Safety & Compliance:



Ensure all safety practices, sanitation, and emergency procedures are followed. Support incident reporting and appropriate documentation. Help coordinate inspections and licensing visits.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field. Experience in a licensed childcare setting. Supervisory and administrative experience. Knowledge of child development principles and early learning standards. Great knowledge of Alberta Childcare Licensing and AHS regulations, and standards. Best knowledge of Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework. CPR and First Aid Certification. Vulnerable Police Sector Check.

Work Environment:
