Program Optimization Analyst

Job Description


According to the strategic orientations defined by the company, the Program Optimization Analyst will participate in the development of the short-term network development plan (over a period of 1 month to 9 months). This is a key role that requires close coordination between the various departments (Revenue Management, Pricing, Finance, Product, Public Affairs, Airline Operations).

The Program Optimization Analyst is responsible for analyzing expected flight economics to assist in the decision to modify the current program, as well as communicating to the Current Program and Commercial Distribution the guidelines for modifications to the flight program and the reprotection of our passengers, including those resulting from a change related to our partners.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize the current season\'s program tactically, in conjunction with Revenue Management and Pricing, to find opportunities for economic improvement. Identify and analyze risk and opportunity situations to propose/implement appropriate corrective actions (capacity adjustments).
  • Monitor the profitability of Air Transat\'s network routes.
  • Create an economic estimation tool in the event of a change in the flight schedule (e.g. change in aircraft type)
  • Establish diagnoses, build analyses, and provide recommendations.
  • Contribute to the definition of the program for future seasons based on long-term orientations and in conjunction with Program Development, aiming for the economic optimum.
  • Position yourself as one of the referents on issues related to the Program Optimization team.
  • Actively participate in projects related to the current season\'s program.
  • Communicates changes to the Current Program and to the Commercial Distribution team, both on the flight schedule and on passenger reprotection.
  • Maintain the link with our interlocutors, especially regarding program optimization issues.
  • Act as a driver of innovation, both in terms of methodology and organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a scientific and/or economic field (mathematics, economics, optimization, operations research)
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Optimized time management.
  • Results oriented.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience (in the aviation industry is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships with partners.
  • Strength of conviction, initiative.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer management tools (Office suite) and decision support techniques/tools.
  • Mastery of English and French, spoken and written.
  • Good ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment
