KCNI is seeking a full-time, permanent Program Officer reporting jointly to the Scientific Director, Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics (KCNI) and Operations Director, Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics. The Program Officer will work collaboratively with Centre Scientific and Operations Leadership to onboard of staff, ensure research compliance of department staff, prepare annual reports, and contribute to budget planning, Centre events, implementing standards procedures, and will be responsible for providing effective communications and administrative support for the KCNI.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Core Centre support, scheduling/calendar management, technical support atmeeting minutes, travel/accommodation, coordinating meetings and events. Support on- boarding and off-boarding of staff, including supporting recruitment, and hiring; ordering supplies; space planning; and preparing and managing confidential information. Preparing complex and confidential reports as required design presentations and coordinate special program projects as requested. Act as a liaison with other CAMH departments including Human Resources, Information Management, Purchasing and Finance and external organizations. This position involves ongoing projects, communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. Success in this role calls for someone who is able to resolve administrative and technical problems, including scheduling system software, and other computer software such as Microsoft Office programs and various database platforms. This role supports a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate is required to have an undergraduate degree in business or a related disciplines, and 2 years of professional work experience in a healthcare environment. Proven ability to work with various inter-professional teams is required. In this role, you are expected to have excellent multi-tasking skills, to work efficiently and effectively under minimal supervision, and adaptable to different styles of leadership. You will be detail-oriented, particularly while working under high-pressure situations, and dealing with conflicting priorities. You have attention to detail, appropriate business etiquette, and good judgment in handling matters of confidential nature. You will possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and customer-service skills. Excellent writing and efficient minute taking skills are necessary. Advanced knowledge of office administration practices and expertise in various computer applications including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher). Excellent written and verbal communications skills are mandatory. Ability to work with diverse clients and staff is required. Proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
