The Primate\xe2\x80\x99s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is the Anglican Church of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s agency for sustainable development and relief. Through the support of Anglican parishes across Canada, PWRDF makes financial and human resources available to partners around the world working to improve health, food security and livelihoods for vulnerable people. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team starting January 2024. This full-time Level 6 unionized position reports to the Director of Fundraising and Supporter Relations (FSR). This is a hybrid position with some work completed from the PWRDF offices at 80 Hayden St., Toronto, and some work completed from home. The Supporter Relations Program Officer provides support for all aspects of the Fundraising and Supporter Relations program, and to the FSR team, including supporting volunteer management and public engagement and education, communications, fundraising and donor relations, working collaboratively within the FSR team to integrate all aspects of the program. Key Tasks:

  • Maintains accurate records in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)
  • Accurately proofreads and makes corrections to written materials
  • Writes compelling information about the organization\xe2\x80\x99s work for publishing
  • Provides timely and helpful support to volunteers
  • Participates in donor stewardship
  • Manages logistics for events
  • Seeks out and coordinates speaking engagements
  • Participates in donor stewardship
  • Coordinates the ordering, distribution and inventory of resources
  • Provides administrative support to the FSR team to ensure maximum efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Strong public relations capacity is essential including volunteer support skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with proof reading documents, presentations, etc.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite
  • Familiarity with a variety of communication technologies (web-based)
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Donor Perfect
  • Familiarity with email systems such as Constant Contact, Mail Chimp
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar programs to create content such as posters, flyers, ads
  • General knowledge of international development issues, geography and current affairs
  • Demonstrated competence in administrative functions, including electronic filing, correspondence and minute-taking.
  • Attentive to detail, organized and efficient.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to listen and determine the needs of constituents and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to problem-solve, set daily work priorities and work cooperatively in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with the Anglican Church of Canada including structure, organization and parish life is preferred.
  • Specialized vocational training or under-graduate degree in public relations, customer relations or information management and/or previous job-related experience of at least five years
