Academy of Modern Art (AOMA)

is a Vancouver based art education institution committed to guiding students in art and design as they transition to their chosen post-secondary schools. We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support the management and promotion of our academic programs.

Program Summary



We are looking for an experienced candidate with a background in

design or illustration and marketing

to assist with both the administrative and promotional functions. This role is ideally full-time, but we are open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities



Assist students with

university applications

, including the preparation of

application materials and art portfolios.

Support the planning and execution of

school events and community activities.

Help manage the day-to-day operations of the

art studio

including scheduling, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a clean, creative environment. Contribute to the

development and implementation of marketing strategies

to enhance student recruitment and public engagement. Design and create content for

social media platforms

(Instagram, WeChat, RED (Xiaohongshu), YouTube, etc.). Design and distribute the

school newsletter

and promotional email campaigns. Maintain and update the

school website

ensuring content is visually appealing and up to date.

Qualifications and Skills



Bachelor's or Master's in

Art, Design, Illustration or Visual Communication

. A minimum of

3 years experience

in academic administration or program coordination, ideally in an art/design education setting in Vancouver, B.C. Proven

professional experience

in design, illustration, or visual communication. Strong understanding of international art university application requirements, especially

portfolio standards

. Skilled in

digital content creation

and

digital marketing

strategies. Proficient in managing and growing

social media

platforms. Excellent

written and verbal communication skills

in English and Chinese. A strong interest in the

education sector

, with a passion for supporting student success. Highly

organized

, detail orientated, and able to work both independently and in a team. Willingness to work

flexible hours

, including weekends or evenings as needed.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:

Academic administration or program coordination: 3 years (preferred) Managing and growing Social Media platforms: 1 year (preferred)
Language:

English (required) Speaks and writes mainland Chinese (required)
Work Location: In person
