Description:

Responsibilities:



Ensure program staff are supported, and provide leadership to the Walking Stick team.

Must be able to understand and work towards program goals, identify needs and implement plans for program development.

Provide support to resource and support teams

Addressing staff issues, onboarding and integration of new hires in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager

Addressing staff and participant conflicts.

Collaboratively assign new participants to the most suitable Case Worker or Case Manager, based on individual needs and team capacity.

Work directly with participants, families, and collateral contacts to enhance life and outcomes for program participants.

Advocate for and actively promote the mission, vision, and values of Oshki-Giizhig in all interactions and program activities.

Qualifications:


Post-secondary degree in social work, social justice, Indigenous studies, health related and/ or a combination of pertinent experiences in these areas.

Should have experience in a senior management role. Knowledge of the Vulnerable Persons Act & other applicable legislations. Must have extensive clinical experience, and have worked in a trauma informed & culturally empathetic environment. Experiences with cultural activities and understanding of Indigenous concepts of care and support. Experience leading a team in a dynamic fast-paced environment Knowledge of disabilities, disorders and mental health issues. Driver's license and access to transportation.
