Job Summary
At the heart of our work is an interdisciplinary approach that delivers holistic, community-based care - with a strong focus on individuals who experience barriers to accessing health services. Our team is deeply committed to inclusivity and works within the social determinants of health framework, emphasizing prevention, health promotion, and client education.
The Manager, Health Promotion plays a key leadership role in advancing health equity across Toronto's diverse communities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing health promotion strategies aligned with community needs and organizational goals, facilitating community development activities, and building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders. The Manager leads strategic planning and advocacy initiatives focused on the social determinants of health, supervises staff and volunteers, manages program budgets, and oversees community supports coordination, as well as, outreach and communications efforts. Representing LAMP at community events and sectoral networks, the Manager ensures inclusive, client-centered engagement and impact.

Required Qualifications
Degree in Health Promotion, Community Development, or related field, or equivalent experience, with 5-10 years in community-based health promotion and equity work.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in team leadership, staff supervision, and strategic program oversight.
Demonstrated experience in anti-racist, anti-oppressive initiatives and working with priority populations facing systemic barriers.
Exceptional verbal and written communication, including public speaking, report writing, and media engagement.
Proven success in fundraising, proposal writing, budget management, and coordinating coalitions or networks.
Strong knowledge of social determinants of health, public policy, and Toronto-specific equity issues, with advanced skills in planning, evaluation, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
