Remote Robotic Systems: Program Manager - Defence and Tactical Solutions

We specialize in supporting the deployment of remotely operated and autonomous robotics systems which provide enhanced situational awareness and tactical capability to Military and Tactical operators.

We are looking for a new Program Manager to join our Defence Solutions team to ensure our existing Programs are running smoothly while remaining visibility on potential new opportunities. This role is the key part in ensuring that everything stays on schedule, on budget, and is delivering maximal impact for the customer . Ideally you are a versatile but highly organized individual with high comfort levels in interacting with Operators, Command, Policy, and training cells. You will have some project management experience (Military preferred). Experience managing teams to hitting measurable deliverables is a major plus. You are comfortable with a flexible working environment and in thinking strategically while bringing structure to the Defence offerings of one of Canada's fastest growing companies.

Key Functions

:

1. Ensure the successful delivery of RRS's existing Federal Contracts, taking full ownership of successful deployment, integration, and customer adoption - Plan, Control, and Communicate.

2. Act as the primary point of contact for program leads for the Canadian Forces, Coast Guard, and other key International customers.

3. Coordinate partners, trainers, the development/engineering team, and logistics partners to ensure high satisfaction levels and program revenue growth.

4. Work with our Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to continue to develop and expand our industry leading suite of training programs.

5. Identify new opportunities, manage proposals, and drive revenue growth for military programs.

6. Ensure adherence to military regulations, contractual requirements, and organizational policies; prepare progress reports and risk assessments.

What you will do

:

Work with the CEO to define program scope, goals, and success criteria. Manage customer expectations and ensure seamless communication. Translate Program Goals into project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Control budgets, manage costs, track financial performance, and prepare financial reports. Identify New Growth opportunities and support revenue increases in core accounts. Oversee account logistics: ensuring the right equipment, pilots, and resources are in place when needed. Track project performance using KPIs, milestones, and deliverables. Document results and POC outcomes in concise, professional reports that demonstrate value and ROI. Conduct regular project reviews, anticipate risks, and resolve issues proactively. Supervise and guide multi-disciplinary teams, manage personnel, and oversee subcontractor activities.

The Ideal Candidate:



- Military Service and/or Defence related Program experience.

- 3-5 Years of Program or Project management experience

- Bring clarity, structure, and accountability to fast-moving, multi-project environments.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills; able to coordinate cross-functional teams without authority.

- 3-5 years experience with Field Deployments of Robotic Systems.

- Resourceful and creative in solving problems and driving progress.

- Curious and eager to understand new technologies and customer applications.

- An impeccable communication style - you have exceptional and proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present in a compelling manner.

- Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, resourceful, organized, and proactive.

- The ability to solve complex problems (or know where to find the answer).

- Commitment to long-term growth and learning.

Nice to have's:



- Understanding of Robotics.

- High Level planning Experience.

- PMP Designation.

- Experience managing both hardware and software implementation projects

- A second or third language..

- A technical background, technical certificate in Electronics, Engineering or similar from Military, University, College or Vocational institute.

Location



This is a full time position, Ottawa (preferred) or Mississauga based. Some travel is expected in Canada and internationally, approximately 10 weeks per year.

Compensation



Target Comp: 130-150k plus benefits

Base Salary - 90-120k

Company and Individual Performance Bonus up to 2 months total

Negotiable Variable compensation based on account growth

Full Benefits - Includes medical, dental,

3% RRSP match

3 weeks Vacation
