We are currently seeking a Program Lead, Physical Infrastructure to join our team.
The Program Lead, Physical Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the physical infrastructure program at First West. This role ensures that First West's facilities and physical infrastructure are optimized to align with our broader enterprise strategy, drive channel goals, uphold our brand promise, and enhance both member and team member experiences. Key responsibilities include ensuring effective program governance, tracking milestones, managing risks, and aligning with strategic business objectives.
Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day
Leadership:
Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring and support to the Facilities team, project teams and other areas of the organization. Fosters an environment that promotes collaboration, inclusion, achievement of results.
End-to-End Program Management of Facilities Renovations -
Oversees development, oversight, alignment, refinement, and execution of renovations (including branch and admin offices). Collaborates with cross-functional teams to align renovation designs with strategic goals, driving channel objectives, brand promise, and enhancing the member and team member experiences. Executes tactical project plans, manages multiple project work streams, identifies and mitigates project dependencies and risks, and ensures progress against milestones. Liaises with member support and member facing teams to ensure smooth transitions and change management support. Develops success criteria metrics with the project team prior to implementation.
Real Estate:
Supports tactical planning and execution of First West real estate listings and sales. This includes due diligence, valuation perspectives, and reviewing/providing guidance on documentation such as letters of intent, lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements. Works with external stakeholders like brokers and legal counsel as required.
Facilities Budget
: Supports in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets for the Facilities department within the physical Infrastructure program, including supporting documentation and rationale. Monitors department budgeting processes and maintains financial accountability for expenditures and cost containment.
Collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business goals related to physical infrastructure initiatives. Proactively communicates throughout all phases of the respective body of work to ensure alignment and engagement with stakeholders.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required.
7 years of experience managing large enterprise programs and leading teams is required, preferably within the financial services sector.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams is required.
Experience leading and implementing change including developing new strategies, policies, and procedures is required.
Experience in operations and member/customer experience, preferably within the financial services sector, considered an asset.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Lean or Agile Practitioner are highly desirable.
Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, including senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively to meet project objectives and timelines.
Effective communication and relationship skills required to support stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues.
Demonstrated experience in the management of major planning for construction projects is required.
Expertise in strategic planning.
Considerable knowledge of budgetary processes, including development and administration.
Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage hybrid delivery models.
Expertise in stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment across various teams and with external vendors/third parties
In-depth understanding of financial services projects, with a focus on regulatory compliance and data security.
Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
