The Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto is the largest imaging department in Canada. It includes the imaging departments of eight fully affiliated teaching hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area, forming one of the largest teaching facilities in the world. Our core strengths include our undergraduate, residency and fellowship programs that attract national and international applicants from around the world. All of our training sites operate with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, PACS and communication systems. Our curriculum is aimed at promoting the next generationof clinical radiologists, educators, researchers, innovators, leaders and patient advocates in medical imaging.

As Program Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with faculty, residents and administrative coordinators to effectively support our Diagnostic Radiology & Nuclear Medicine residency programs. Your excellent organizational skills, relentless attention to detail, and you ability to work as part of a team will be critical to the success of our programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing detailed information to residents on program and/or training requirements
  • Coordinating the CaRMS application process and interview schedules
  • Verifying and reviewing Royal College training requirements
  • Troubleshooting timetabling and room booking conflicts
  • Coordinating committees, including scheduling, agenda, minutes and following up on action items
  • Coordinating logistics for events and/or programming and arranging catering
  • Drafting and circulating correspondence to trainees and faculty
Essential Qualifications:
  • Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of related experience in a University or equivalent environment such as a teaching hospital
  • Experience coordinating postgraduate residency training programs
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling and coordinating timetables and/or rotations
  • Experience interpreting and applying course/program policies and procedures
  • Experience supporting events and committees
  • Experience maintaining databases and generating reports
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional, learning management systems, survey tools (Survey Monkey, Doodle) and web conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams)
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and professional manner demonstrated at all times
  • Ability to effectively communicate complicated regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines and facilitate others to do so
  • Flexibility in adjusting to changing circumstances and in managing concurrent projects and tasks
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and take action
  • Ability to exercise judgement based on sound principles
