Your opportunity:

The Intercultural Skills Lab (ISL) promotes the development ofintercultural competence to create teams that are engaged, inclusive and transformative. Our signature program Business Edge has supported the critical skills development and career advancement of Internationally educated professionals since 2009. Since then, our programs and services have grown to offer a blend of on-campus and digital learning in five key areas: communication, intercultural competency, leadership, sector-specific training, and career growth.

As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for actively supporting ISL's goal of providing top tier professional development programs for internationally educated professionals, and its strategy of building a portfolio of customer focused hybrid learning. You will be responsible for all activities related to planning and delivering programs both online and in-person.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determining logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • Coordinating the preparation and distribution of program and/or course material; collaborating with program team and as per design recommendations, makes edits and revisions to content, content design and interactive tools on Quercus/LMS
  • Providing detailed information to students on program and/or course requirements
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for program activities
  • Overseeing day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of programs, including supporting instructors during online/hybrid delivery by reviewing delivery agenda, creating and moving students to breakout rooms for activities, montioring ta and other online features, and providing technical instructions and support for students
  • Scheduling appointments using online tools, such as Acuity
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years recent and related experience, both online and in-person, in event planning, program delivery, customer service and administration
  • Experience in delivering and administering online programs using Learning Management Systems and webinar platforms including Zoom, Adobe Connect and Webex
  • Proficient with personal computer and software including word processing, excel, PowerPoint, databases and Adobe suite, digital image editing, UX/UI design
  • Knowledge of web, desktop publishing and authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, Canvas)
  • Experience in delivering professional development programs designed specifically for internationally educated professionals
  • Excellent project coordination and event management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle multiple programs and/or priorities simultaneously
  • Sound judgment under pressure; maturity and professionalism required to interact with senior executives
  • Team player with sensitivity to various levels of expectations from corporate executives, faculty, staff and suppliers
  • High attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
  • Ability to anticipate next steps and work proactively
  • Electronic research skills
