Eden Gardens is accepting applications from those interested in a Full-Time Program Coordinator position.
The Programs Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is a partner in the Leadership Team. This critical role is instrumental in providing high-level support to the Activities team, Day Programs team, Volunteer Program and Fundraising programs.
The successful candidate will have a very diverse role including interactions within our home but also with external community partners. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, empathy and thoughtfulness are all skills that will assist you in being successful in this position.
Duties will include but not exclusive to:
Develop and oversee the delivery of programs
Oversee department budget
Provide support to the Activities Team, Day Programs Teams and Volunteer Team
Ongoing recruitment, training and management of the volunteer program
Collaborate and participate in disciplinary actions of team members
Collaborate with the Fund Development Team on fundraising projects and events
Maintain ongoing and growing relationships with community partners (ie Volunteer Nanaimo)
Ability to step in and provide additional support when required in all areas of positions responsibility
Maintain Donor Perfect database and reporting

Ability to operate related equipment
Ability and willingness to learn systems related to position (Donor Perfect, COMVIDA, Point Click Care, etc) - training would be provided
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Education:
University Degree in Social Services or Health related or a combination of relevant education and experience
Minimum five (5) years in a leadership role
Experience in the field of dementia and working with diverse populations
Proficient use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered
