Position Details and Description
Start Date: As soon as possible

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12pm-7pm (with flexibility depending on programming schedules, PD Days, Fall/Spring Breaks, etc.)
Hours: 35 hours/week
Rate of Pay: $21/hour
Location: Main BGC Leduc Clubhouse at the Leduc Rec Centre
Reports To: Operations Manager

Create a culture of safety, trust, and high performance within after school program teams
Confidently address team dynamics while encouraging growth, accountability, and collaboration
Support professional development and learning opportunities for staff
Keep the team informed and connected through clear communication (updating the team board, setting out volunteer materials, etc.)
Represent BGC Leduc with professionalism at networking meetings, stakeholder events, and in the broader community as required.
Operational Support & Behind-the-Scenes Magic
Oversee day-to-day program operations across all locations, including set-up and organization
Manage programming prep, lost and found, craft/pantry/inventory foresight and shopping needs
Submit weekly receipts, track mileage, and assist with programming supplies procurement
Coordinate foodbank pick-ups, bottle depot runs, and overall Club organization
Support our Bus Operator with daily pick up of Club members and keeping them engaged and safe on the bus.
Care for front flower pots, keeping spaces tidy and welcoming, and support the vibe of our Club spaces
Support seasonal fundraising events and special initiatives (like Winter Fun Fest and National Club Day!)
Programming & Youth Engagement
Be a driving force in our Youth Services stream -- collaborating with the Youth Coordinator to design and co-facilitate transformative programs for grades 7-12, creating safe, fun, and inspiring spaces where teens feel heard, supported, and celebrated
Plan, set up, and deliver creative after school programs for children and youth
Coordinate and help deliver youth events, workshops, and seasonal programs
Provide role modeling and positive behavior support to Club members
Be the key parent/guardian liaison at pick-up and drop-off, ensuring strong relationships and smooth communication
Support with bus runs and transitions between programs and locations

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Experience with working with children within the targeted demographic (6 to 12 year olds)
Experience in programming for youth (12-18 year olds)
Ability to connect with youth and an understanding of their needs/perspective
Strong organizational skills and adaptability
Knowledge of social media communications and marketing
Clean Drivers Abstract
Valid Driver's License
Additional Requirements
Satisfactory completion of additional duties as instructed/required.
All successful candidates will be required to complete and supply a successful criminal record check, Child Welfare Investigation Screening and recent employer reference checks (2 minimum).
Candidates living or with strong connection within the City of Leduc, are preferred.
