JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, or designate, the Program Coordinator will provide direct support to the program, employers and assist managers in achieving program outcomes.
DUTIES:
Program Coordinator duties include the following:
Support employers with complex cases.
Lead meetings with cross province community stakeholders.
Provide education to employers on the benefits and realities of hiring individuals after incarceration.
Liaise with employers and community partners such as courts, local police and RCMP.
Work with clients to reduce barriers to employment including training and transportation.
Regular reporting as required by JHSS and funders.
Proactively soliciting new applicants and creating partnerships with employers and correctional institutions with a goal of post release employment opportunities for job seekers previously incarcerated. This will include a provincial scope including rural and indigenous communities.
Assist with information campaigns.
Maintain regular contact with clients and employers to ensure job retention, address challenges in the workplace, and support continued success.
Stay up to date with changing policies, grants, and resources available to maximize support and funding opportunities.
Maintain a client caseload.
Provincial Travel as required.
Other tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of the following:
Education
Secondary education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or Community Colleges, or Bachelor's degree, in a relevant field and 2 year of practical experience.
Practical Experience
Working knowledge and experience with individuals impacted by socio-economic issues, including: homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare system.
Working with a range of diverse clients, indiscriminate of: age, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, socio-economic status, religious preference, etc.
Capability
Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
First Aid, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention would be considered an asset.
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License, insurable to drive clients in JHSS-owned vehicles.
Cleared Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, dated no later than three (3) months prior to your start date.
Requires flexibility and should be able to work varying shifts.
