Reporting to the Director, Founder Success, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and helping to deliver Platform programs. As a Program Coordinator, the work you do will be impactful for founders, the startup community and for our organization. You will be responsible for implementing and executing seamless delivery of the Platform programming. The ideal candidate is organized, with impeccable attention to detail and able to manage, develop and improve processes and operations while consistently communicating with program stakeholders and project leads. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about helping build an organization that is dedicated to building Calgary as a global hub for startups and innovation.T his role is a contract position through December 2025, with ability to extend based on renewed funding.

The day-to-day activities of the Program Coordinator will include

:

Program Coordination

Manage program logistics and intake processes, including coordinating input from team members and updating information in program/CRM tools. Coordinate logistics with program partners, coaches, and participants, and distribute program materials and make improvements as required. Create and update resources, forms, work plans and meeting invitations through appropriate software tools (Google, Zoom, Slack, Asana, Hubspot). Support virtual and on-site program sessions and/or events at the Platform Innovation Centre. Make improvements to processes and program logistics as required.
Program Experience

Provide administrative support, ensuring a seamless experience for program participants, facilitators and coaches. Distribute program materials to participants. Contribute to an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible work environment aiding in the founder experience. Develop community initiatives designed to facilitate connections between participants. Collect feedback from program participants (formally and informally) and work alongside appropriate team members to assess and implement feedback.
Communication

Act as the point of contact for external reachouts, program participants, and partners, answering inquiries and ensuring relevant news and updates are communicated in a timely manner. Build long-last relationships with the Platform Calgary network to facilitate meaningful connections.
Additional Responsibilities

Identify and recruit potential startup founders by attending networking events and conferences, as well as leveraging personal and professional networks. Understand and communicate the needs of startup founders to other internal teams. Champion Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) initiatives at Platform Calgary. Ad hoc projects and duties will be assigned as required.

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:



2 years' experience in program coordination or a related coordination role.

Previous experience in roles requiring strong organizational and relationship building skills. Proficiency with digital communication and project management tools, such as G-Suite, Asana, Slack, Notion, Eventbrite and HubSpot. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with teammates, founders, partners, members and other players in the tech ecosystem. Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment, adapt and be proactive. Passion for innovation, community and entrepreneurship.

The ability to flex with changing responsibilities as the role evolves. Understanding of how to effectively derive and measure results from the programs we deliver and how we might learn and iterate from those results. Ability to facilitate collaboration among multiple parties with disparate views and objectives and align the group toward a cohesive outcome. Ability to be a community builder, establishing relationships with multi-faceted stakeholder groups and key partners. Proactiveness to solve problems before they arise and within being asked. Team player that is enthusiastic about working cross-functionally.

$55,000 - 65,000
