About the Role

The Program Assistant/Assistant to the Director provides comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Director of Urban Studies, Graduate and Undergraduate Program Chairs, and the Manager of Academic and Administrative Services. This role acts as a key liaison for students and faculty, responding to routine inquiries regarding program requirements, scholarships, deadlines, and related academic matters. Responsibilities include processing and maintaining student records, preparing documentation for faculty appointments and reviews, and supporting the Director and departmental committees. The position also plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the graduate and undergraduate programs by assisting with curriculum changes, academic scheduling and administrative support. This position requires discretion, organization, and a strong service orientation within a fast-paced academic environment.
