Together, our diversity defines the uniqueness of Nova Scotia.About Our OpportunityAs a member of Community Supports and Infrastructure, you are part of a team that helps to improve the quality of life of all Nova Scotians by ensuring they have access to cultural programing,
local food, and community facilities.You will plan, develop, evaluate, and monitor funding programs that support investments in the areas listed above. Using data from grant applications and reports, you will gather, summarize, and present information on community assets and program outputs. You will also create specialized reports such as year-end summaries and respond to requests from various stakeholders for information about programs and services. This data will also be used to map community assets throughout the province which will be used to ensure effective use of provincial funding and resources. You will analyse and provide program recommendations and advice to management.You will be provided a degree of independence in how you present this data. If you enjoy being creative and thinking outside the box, this position may be for you.Qualifications and ExperienceYou bring with you a Bachelors\' degree plus 5 years related experience in areas such as data management and research, community development, and funding program administration.A vital requirement is embracing the value of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in all aspects of your work. You exercise tact, diplomacy and sound judgement and appreciate the value of relationship building. You possess exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. You are self-directed, take initiative, and value creativity in a team environment. You have sound experience using Microsoft programs, especially Excel.If you adapt to change with confidence, and thrive from generating new methods for continuous improvement, this position may be for you.Assets for this role include,

  • SAP and grants management systems experience
  • experience using Acrobat Adobe Pro
  • understanding of the principals of community development
  • experience presenting information in a variety of formats
