Simon Fraser University is a leading research university, advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. Our purpose - the essence of SFU - is to create and connect knowledge, learning and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact. We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.
The Centre for Accessible Learning facilitates disability-related accommodations and supports that create a fair and equitable academic experience for students with disabilities at SFU. We work with students, instructors and other units on campus to explore ways to remove disability-related barriers in all aspects of university life. Our team is comprised of Disabiity Access Advisors who determine the entitlements to accommodations, Disability Services Offiers who implement these accommodations in various academic settings, and Exam Specialists who implement accommodations on behalf of instructors for student assessments. We value trust, open communication, creative problem-solving, and share a commitment to improving the student experience throughout their academic career.
