Job Description

Canada West Assurance (CWA), a division of Birchwood, is looking for a detail-oriented Professional Intern to join their team for summer 2023, with the opportunity to move part-time in the fall term. CWA is a comprehensive provider of aftermarket insurance and protection programs for vehicles. The Business Analyst will play a key role in defining trends and areas of opportunities for Birchwood. This role is responsible for supporting the risk management initiatives, and financial data analysis of business metrics with CWA.
Project Opportunities:

• Financial Sales Reporting and Analysis

• Support CWA risk management initiatives

• Facilitate value-based metrics that support CWA\xe2\x80\x99s current growth strategies

• Assemble, analyze, and interpret unique data sets to add value to CWA\xe2\x80\x99s Finance programs

• Incentivize internal group-wide F&I growth through a strategic contest and event planning

• Assisting with a review and overhaul of all CWA Marketing Materials

• Updating the CWA Website

• Participation in and preparation of Group and Dealership Performance Meetings

• F&I Product Review and Design

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in the area of Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Supply Chain Management

• Ability to analyze data and identify trends that result in relevant recommendations

• Experience in business analytics preferred, but not required

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment

• High attention to detail, proven time management, and organizational skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and other applications

• Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
