Birchwood Chevrolet Buick GMC is hiring a Professional Intern \xe2\x80\x93 Sales Assistant for the summer 2023 season. This position requires a self-motivated, energetic, and goal-driven individual to provide direct support to one of Birchwood Automotive Group\xe2\x80\x99s most dynamic sales teams. In this role, the Professional Intern - will develop essential skills needed to become a professional, business-minded individual. This internship aims to identify professional individuals, teach them the skills needed for a role in Sales, and position the individual for an actual Product Advisor position the next summer or upon graduation. The selected individual would have a launch pad for future Managerial positions within Birchwood upon graduation.

Professional Interns have been an integral part of Birchwood for over 25 years. The professional intern program has evolved throughout the years to include an immersive experience that focuses on personal and professional development. Our program is designed to create a network of empowered students, that gain valuable skills while supporting Birchwood\xe2\x80\x99s purpose. Our internship includes professional development workshops, unique social events, and an opportunity to network with our executive team.

Responsibilities:

• Support a list of prospective clients, all while adhering to the highest level of integrity by utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
• Contact prospective clients through warm calling, email lists, showroom traffic, and advertising streams including Social Media
• Work closely with a dedicated mentor, Product Advisor to provide exceptional customer service
• Assist the Product Advisor to meet and exceed sales and performance goals
• Provide accurate and consistent weekly and monthly performance reports

Qualifications & Details:

• An entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to succeed

• Currently enrolled in a post secondary program in related business field

• Self-motivation and a passion for customer service

• Sensitivity toward customers and a strong interest in exceeding their expectations

• Respect, honesty, and integrity

• 1-3 years in a customer-focused role is an asset but not required

• A valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and reliable transportation to work is required.

• Must be able available to work from the dealership

The Professional Intern \xe2\x80\x93 Sales works a similar schedule as our Product Advisor. This full-time position includes one evening per week (Monday or Tuesday until 9:00 pm), and Saturdays. The experience provides a valuable opportunity to explore a career in sales with Birchwood Automotive Group. Compensation will be made up of an hourly wage and incentives.
