We are a team of passionate medical and technological innovators on a mission to improve patient treatment and outcomes with cutting-edge medical devices like the FloPatch. FloPatch is the world\xe2\x80\x99s first wireless Doppler ultrasound system designed to support the clinical management of critically ill patients. The wearable sensor enables real-time functional hemodynamic monitoring for patients requiring cardiopulmonary and fluid resuscitation.
We are seeking a Production Technologist who will contribute to the commercialization of a new medical device and will mainly be responsible for meeting daily production targets by ensuring all parts are put together as instructed and inspecting the product at relevant stages of production.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and follow work instructions and bills of material to accurately assemble components into finished products
• Document part and equipment information onto assembly travelers
• Test device form, fit and function throughout production stages and record results according to batch or serial numbers
• Assist in preparing devices for packaging and shipping of product to customers
• Notify the quality team of any instances of non-conformance in a timely manner
• Assist in inventory counts and notify the production lead when supplies are low
• Receive materials and related documents and store them as per receiving protocols
• Assist with engineering test batches as needed
• Perform work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
• Perform facility maintenance activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

• Comfortable working in both physical and digital environments
• Good computer skills; experience with word processing and spreadsheet applications, and ability to learn an use various hardware/software tools
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency in data entry
• Adaptability to changing processes in assembly and work environment
• Good dexterity and mechanical aptitude including ability to use measurement tools and pneumatic equipment is preferred
• Comfortable wearing PPE while performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and have excellent time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant post-secondary education in Engineering/Science is preferred
• Experience working in an assembly role within a highly regulated industry (medical devices, aerospace, etc.) is ideal
