Overview:
The position of Planner I, Electrical reports to the Supervisor, Electrical Planning. It is encouraged that the Planner I will develop in the areas of detail plan creation for cable pull, cable termination and testing activities among other detail planning assignments. The role is also responsible for collaborating closely with sub-contractors, design, and production supervision to ensure that the plan is executable with regards to sequence of work, budget at a shop order level and accurate resources assigned.
What you will be doing:
Develop/Modify complete production work packages for cable related activities \xe2\x80\x93 cable pull, termination, and testing detail plans that include additional production information, material lists, and work instructions required for production execution.
Work closely with production, supply chain, and subcontracts to drive execution of production plans to meet set weekly goals.
Work to update and maintain data quality thru the electrical toolsets \xe2\x80\x93 Cloudis CMPIC, Electrical App, Azure Database, Glanding Database, Electrical Dashboards, and IFS.
Ensure that all information required by production to commence work is available prior to start.
Liaise with various key partners within production and participates in daily coordinated production team meetings providing feedback and information whenever vital.
Investigate the causes of issues and delays in production and expedites all vital activities to eliminate them.
Investigate cross field predecessor scope to enable work centre readiness.
Build supplementary information from model/MI to support cable pull/termination crews.
What you must have:
A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or Trades Certificate combined with sufficient employment experience is preferred.
0-2 years of electrical experience in design, production, planning and/or production control
Strong experience/knowledge working with data (Advanced Excel, Programming, PowerBI, Power Automate)
Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and social skills
Strong customer service focus
Proven initiative, creativity, and integrity
Strong presentation skills both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills
Excellent digital literacy including Word/Excel/PowerPoint
Solid ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve.
Good judgment and reasoning skillsAbility to work with limited direction and to function as an essential team member
