Painter



We specialize in Steel Packaging solutions built for industrial demands. Mainly but not limited to custom steel racks, bins and containers that withstand the toughest environments.

Term:

Permanent Full time; 44-hour work week with overtime as required

Wages:

$18.00 to 20.00 to commensurate with experience

Responsibilities



Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking

Apply paint to surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or rollers

Ensure that paint application is even and free of defects

Follow safety guidelines and wear protective gear while working, written daily safety checks

Inspect finished work for quality control purposes

Clean and maintain painting equipment and booth

Communicate with other members of the production team to ensure timely completion of projects

Responsible for the entire paint process including but not limited to:



mixing paints and solvents according to manufacturer's specifications correct operation of automated mixing equipment application of liquid paint to meet specifications using electrostatic and traditional paint guns assuring that parts reside in the flashing and drying sections of the paint system for the specified time inspection of work and correction to work as necessary periodic cleaning/flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems as required

Key Requirements:



a minimum of 2 years of experience as a production painter in a manufacturing environment; however willing to train the right candidate with the right work ethic

Technical Skills - Ability to operate and maintain paint spray equipment, including airless spray guns, pumps, and pressure pots.

Attention to Detail - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow quality control procedures to ensure consistent paint finishes.

Physical Stamina - Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds; ability to perform strenuous repetitive work

Ability to wear respirator and protective clothing for an entire shift

Ability to pass pulmonary function test and respirator fit test

Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to work safely with hazardous materials, including paint chemicals and solvents.

Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other departments to ensure production goals are met.

Time Management - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
