YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAMIn the context of the construction and launch of a new factory scheduled officially for summer 2025, we are looking for a Production Manager. Prior to the official launch, the Production Manager will have the opportunity to undergo specific training for a duration of 6 to 10 months, involving travel between the future factory and our sister facility located in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He will also play a key role in hiring production stuff process and next participate to the planned test startup.The Production Manager oversees and supports the production teams in various sections of the factory. The role entails ensuring the department\xe2\x80\x99s objectives (quality, safety, productivity, production costs) are met and serving as a reference for the employees. Vigilance, in-depth knowledge of facilities, and strong safety leadership are crucial for this position.THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU\xc2\xb7 Directly manage employees under supervision, including recruitment, performance monitoring, mentoring, and training oversight.\xc2\xb7 Ensure the achievement of goals related to productivity, health, safety, environment, quality, raw material consumption, OEE, equipment maintenance, and production volumes.\xc2\xb7 Plan production in manufacturing units to meet customer needs while maintaining optimal inventory.\xc2\xb7 Contribute to the development of best practices within teams, ensure dissemination, and monitor implementation.\xc2\xb7 Define and monitor the operational budget (labor, energy, consumables, etc.).\xc2\xb7 Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) in each area of responsibility and communicate with the site director regarding team performance (positive and negative).\xc2\xb7 Promote a culture of continuous improvement within teams, participate in setting priorities, and disseminate information.\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with the maintenance team to facilitate interventions and manage personnel during major interventions.\xc2\xb7 Analyze variances and improvement opportunities to define and present action or improvement plans to the plant director.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with various departments in preparing, planning, executing, and monitoring R&D tests.\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with different departments to support the implementation of industrial projects, whether minor or major.\xc2\xb7 Participate in investment plans and justify requests.\xc2\xb7 Ensure proper line maintenance (cleanliness).\xc2\xb7 Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of operations.THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FORTHE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FORAcademic training\xc2\xb7 Operations Management (GOP) training;\xc2\xb7 Engineering degree or other relevant areas (college or university);\xc2\xb7 Additional training in personnel management.Knowledge\xc2\xb7 5 years of manufacturing experience on leadership position;\xc2\xb7 Lean manufacturing knowledge (an asset);\xc2\xb7 French (an asset);\xc2\xb7 Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP (AS400 an asset), HR expertise.Skills and Attitudes\xc2\xb7 Natural leader and effective communicator;\xc2\xb7 Meticulous and performance-oriented;\xc2\xb7 Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability;\xc2\xb7 Commitment and openness to change;\xc2\xb7 Good listening skills and a team player;\xc2\xb7 Good time and stress management;\xc2\xb7 Proactive.WORKING CONDITIONS\xc2\xb7 40 hours per weeko Flexible hours to provide support to all work teams when necessary;o Available for after hour support/calls along with the on-call shift once every 5 weekends\xc2\xb7 Available for travel while the facility is being built and some occasional travel after;\xc2\xb7 Profit-sharing participation;\xc2\xb7 Employer-contributed pension fund;\xc2\xb7 Majority-paid employer-sponsored group insurance (including dental);\xc2\xb7 Bright working environment in a new factory;\xc2\xb7 24/7 production factory.WANT TO HAVE A JOB AT THE HEIGHT OF YOUR AMBITIONS AT SOPREMA?
