Your tasks \xc2\xb7 Lead a team of Team Leaders and Production Technicians operating a 24/7 Citric Acid and Citrates production process \xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, policies and procedures for all workers performing tasks in the Purification Department \xc2\xb7 Ensure Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements are met for food safety \xc2\xb7 Deliver a \xe2\x80\x9czero defect\xe2\x80\x9d product out of purification \xc2\xb7 Achieve budgeted Purification production yields and volumes to meet customer orders \xc2\xb7 Perform daily workplace inspections to keep the Purification department \xe2\x80\x9caudit ready\xe2\x80\x9d at all times \xc2\xb7 Implement practical continuous improvement Kaizen initiatives to improve operating results \xc2\xb7 Monitor inventory on a daily basis and adjust the production schedule as required to maintain established inventory levels and deliver required granulations on each product line \xc2\xb7 Fully understand the purification process to identify process issues and make process adjustments as necessary, including scheduling resin changes, equipment cleaning and process changeovers \xc2\xb7 Prioritize maintenance requirements and schedule equipment downtime for work to be completed \xc2\xb7 Coordinate with the Engineering Department to support and commission improvements that require plant modification and/or equipment upgrade \xc2\xb7 Monitor plant steam and electrical consumption to meet sustainability targets \xc2\xb7 Identify and execute opportunities for chemical and other input reductions to further improve sustainable operations and reduce input costs Your profile \xc2\xb7 BASc degree in Chemical Engineering \xc2\xb7 5 years in a manufacturing management position preferably in food manufacturing or in a continuous flow refining process \xc2\xb7 A leader with the ability to support and motivate staff \xc2\xb7 Collaborative with a team-building spirit \xc2\xb7 Confident personality with assertiveness, independence and initiative \xc2\xb7 Resourceful and focused with a first-principle approach \xc2\xb7 Strong SAP and Microsoft Office experience Your future Reporting to the Citric Plant Manager the Purification Manager (PM) will ensure that production inputs and outputs are managed to meet budgeted production and consumption targets. The PM is a member of the Leadership Team responsible for the safety, technical, and manufacturing operations of the Purification department. Delivering a quality product on time and effective cost control and contributing to the establishment and maintenance of a safe workplace will contribute to the success of the company. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $115,000.00-$120,000.00 per year Benefits:
