Job Description


Our client is looking for a Production Manager dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare by developing innovative and high-quality medical devices. The Production Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring the timely and efficient manufacturing of their medical devices while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and workflows to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and personnel for efficient production processes.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and take proactive measures to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Establish and maintain quality control procedures and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular quality checks during the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications and product standards.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to investigate and address any product quality or non-compliance issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the production team, including technicians, operators, and assemblers, ensuring a high level of engagement and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the production department.
  • Identify training needs, provide coaching and mentoring, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
Equipment and Facility Management:
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and availability of production equipment and machinery.
  • Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations within the production area.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities team to optimize the layout and organization of the production facility for maximum efficiency.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and analyze production processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects, utilizing lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to drive performance improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a production management role within the medical device industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse production team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software is preferred.
  • A track record of driving process improvements and meeting production targets.
