Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our HVAC manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring efficiency, product quality, workforce development, and continuous improvement across all production departments. The successful candidate will also bring strong Project Management skills, oversee cross-functional initiatives, and ensure timely, cost-effective execution of production and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
Oversee all HVAC manufacturing operations, ensuring on-time production and high-quality output.
Work with shop supervisors to set delivery targets per department and align schedules.
Implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and reduce downtime.
Track productivity, lead times, and waste reduction; implement data-driven improvements.
Ensure compliance with industry safety and quality standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
Assist in recruiting a Quality Control Technician and Testing Department Team Lead.
Partner with Engineering, R&D, and Quality teams to improve processes.
Support departments with Quality Documents, Bill of Materials, and Non-Conformance Forms.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage, mentor, and develop supervisors, technicians, and operations staff.
Foster a culture of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Lead workforce planning, training, and performance management initiatives.
Actively participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and production meetings.
Provide coaching in project execution and time management to improve team performance.
Project & Process Management
Plan, lead, and coordinate production-related projects from concept to completion.
Apply project management principles to ensure milestones, budgets, and deliverables are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Prepare project schedules, monitor progress, and provide status updates to leadership.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for production and improvement projects.
Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Gantt charts, Agile, or Lean frameworks).
Supply Chain & Process Optimization
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to minimize material shortages.
Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality or safety.
Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
Identify and implement automation and new technologies to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in production/operations management, preferably in HVAC manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain management.
Proven success with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvements.
Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities effectively.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, industry standards, and safety regulations is an asset.

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
