Summary

As a member of CellCarta\'s logistics Operations team, this role reports to the General Manager, Logistic Division the incumbent in this role improves operational management systems and is responsible for production KPI\xe2\x80\x99s. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations process in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the production of goods
  • Develop and implement production schedules
  • Ensure that production processes comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Monitor and control production costs
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of production equipment
  • Identify and resolve production problems
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Train and supervise production staff
  • Work with other departments to ensure the efficient flow of goods
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a production management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of production processes and equipment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant production software
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing practices or Good Manufacturing Processes is an asset.
  • Experience in a quality focused manufacturing environment and preferably in an ISO certified, or certified under other quality standards, environment is an asset.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • The employee will be working in a manufacturing environment, which may be loud and involve exposure to dust, heat, cold and vibration.
Working Conditions
  • Work is conducted onsite in both an office environment and in a warehouse environment where products are assembled and distributed.
  • A standard work week of up to 44 hours is the norm but some overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines or in emergencies.
  • Office hours are 9:00 AM till 6:00 PM
  • Frequent pressure to meet deadlines.

Although the duties outlined constitute the bulk of what a Production Manager is responsible for, due to the nature of our business all Logistics employees are cross trained in operations and quality control to ensure timely, high-quality products and service for our customers.
