Canadian Specialty Castings., manufactures and repairs different forms of castings used in the energy, marine and industrial sectors. In addition, CSC manufactures associated industrial products. Understanding and experience of manufacturing with different materials, specifications, and machining. The Production labourer sets up and operates grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of castings to blueprint specifications, following tooling instructions and standard charts and applying knowledge of grinding. While operating the furnace and around you are required to ensure quality melting procedures are followed to achieve quality parts in Steel, Stainless steel, bronze, and aluminum alloys. While working in molding you are to make cores for use in moulds to form holes or void spaces in castings; Make sand moulds using patterns, moulding boxes, sand and hand tools following bench, floor or pit moulding methods; Coat cores with protective materials and bake cores in ovens. Experience, Knowledge & Training Manufacturing and repairing different forms of castings used in the energy, marine and industrial sectors. Understanding and experience of manufacturing with different materials, specifications, and machining. Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting would be a definite asset, willing to train. Experience in, welding, forklift, bobcat would be a definite asset, willing to train. Duties & training: grinding, wheelabrator and sandblasting, Mould making & assembly, Shakeout & assisting with pours. General maintenance & Housekeeping. Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
Interpret design or operational test results. Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and visual testing. Interpret design or operational test results. Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials. Select tools, equipment, or technologies for use in operations or projects.
Calibrate scientific or technical equipment.
Operate industrial equipment. Identify defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing technique\'s.
Test characteristics of materials or structures. Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results.
Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant, and applying developer.
Document non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, processes, or results.
Visually examine materials, structures, or components using tools and equipment for signs of corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, or other flaws. Map the presence of imperfections, measure physical or chemical properties of materials or objects. Willing to train the right candidate\'s for a long lasting career.
