Production Labourer \xe2\x80\x93 Silhouette Enclosures

Wage: $18.00 to $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Summary
Silhouette Enclosures is a premier industrial contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, assembly, installation and finishing of custom enclosures marketed worldwide. Silhouette focuses primarily in the industries of Mining, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, utilities, Material Handling and Forestry. Silhouette designs and manufactures industrial enclosures to our customer specifications. Silhouette Enclosures is currently looking for a full time, permanent production Labourers to support the operations at Silhouette Enclosures. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the ideal candidate will be flexible, motivated and a team player, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers advancement into a skilled trade within the organization. The Production Labourer will be accountable for assisting and supporting the needs of the production operations in the fabrication shop, yard and paint shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions from Supervisor as required.
• Follow the company safety program rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect tools and work area for hazards before commencing work.
• Perform cleaning functions throughout the fabrication shop.
• Perform cleaning on weldments and materials using a grinder.
• Transport materials using a forklift and/or overhead crane. (Upon Certification)
• Load and unload transport vehicles as required
• Assist welders, fabricators, shipper/receiver, painters, and finishers as required.
• Sort materials and organize shop and yard.
• Cut materials to specified dimensions using a band saw.
• Drill materials to specified dimensions using a drill press.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• 0-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Metal Fabrication or related industries
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and professional work ethic
• Capable of doing physical tasks and work (ability to lift and move 50-75lbs)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to provide a current Police or RCMP Criminal Record Check

Preferred Experience (not required):

• Ability to read a tape measure (metric/imperial)
• Previous fabrication experience
• Metal building assembly experience
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Band saw experience
• Drill Press/Mag Drill experience
• Forklift experience
• Crane Experience
• Mechanical experience
• Previous finishing experience (drywall, insulation, caulking and riveting

Shifts:
Silhouette is pleased to offer a variety of shift options to allow employees to maintain personal and family life.

• Days Monday-Thursday 6:30 am -4:30 pm
• Afternoons Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-1:30 am
• Weekends Fri-Sunday (3 x 12 hour shifts)

• Shift Differential for afternoon and weekend shifts
