Production Information Lead

Job Description

As Production Information Lead, you will be responsible for collecting, validating, and coordinating all production information required to support shipbuilding activities. This includes production drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), production data, and applicable standards. You will ensure all information is accurate, consistent, and aligned before release to production.



Serving as the liaison between design, engineering, planning, and production teams, you will ensure deliverables are complete, coherent, and compliant with project requirements and company standards. This role is critical to securing a smooth transition from engineering to production, enabling schedule reliability, quality execution, and efficient resource utilization. More specifically, you will:


Collect, review, and validate all production-related information, including production drawings, BOMs, production data, and applicable standards. Ensure all deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements prior to release for production. Identify and resolve discrepancies between engineering deliverables, BOMs, and production requirements. Ensure compliance with Davie's internal configuration and change management processes when managing production information. Maintain proper version control and ensure only validated documents are used for production. Support the development and improvement of information management procedures and best practices. Serve as the central point of contact between the Engineering, Planning, Production, and Quality Control Departments for all matters related to production information. Provide production teams with validated, clear, and reliable documentation to ensure smooth execution of work packages. Support issue resolution during pre-production phases by liaising with relevant stakeholders. Contribute to the standardization and optimization of production information deliverables. Integrate lessons learned and feedback from production teams into processes and standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and data reliability. Minimum of 10 years of experience in shipbuilding, heavy industry, or manufacturing environment.



QUALIFICATIONS




Strong knowledge of production drawings, BOMs, and production data management. Proficiency with CAD and PLM/PDM tools Experience with configuration and change management processes. Ability to work independently, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines. Experience coordinating across multiple departments to align with technical documentation. Bilingualism (French and English). Proficiency in English is required for this position, as you will be required to interact with our English-speaking clients, partners, and suppliers. Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government's Contract Security Program
