Hammond Power Solutions Inc. is a global manufacturer headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. HPS has grown to become the leader in North America in the custom design and manufacture of dry type transformers. For the past century, HPS has grown to deliver electrical power solutions to global markets and provides solutions for complex applications like, mining, rectifier, drives, traction, wind, solar and many other electrical power applications. The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Production Helper - Plant, come grow with us!

Summary of Duties:

Perform a variety of routine duties relating to set ups for coil winding/storage of materials and delivery of incoming material Use/process supplies (i.e. Frames, rods etc. assisting where needed for the manufacturing of transformer coils) Maintain in stock an adequate supply of materials used in the assembly/winding areas Institutes re-ordering procedure for approval or within set parameters Checks quality and quantity of all incoming material and delivers same to proper storage area Stores material in its proper place and keeps storage area neat and tidy Delivers material from storage to assembly/winding areas as per schedule and deliver completed coils to proper areas to be further processed Works primarily from oral and written instructions and from specification sheets as required Operate material handling equipment such as electrical pallet truck Perform basic testing using testing equipment

As the ideal candidate, you will bring this to the team: Completion

of High School, or GED is

required

Ability to read, understand and follow instructions from blueprints and engineering drawings General aptitude with a variety of hand tools such as calipers, tape measure, hammer etc Previous manufacturing experience an asset

Must be able to work afternoon shifts (4 - 10 hour shifts) starting at 4:15 pm.
