Marid Industries Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Production Coordinator to join our team! This is an exciting full-time opportunity for an individual to join our growing team. As part of the Operations team you will work alongside our purchasing and logistics teams to ensure we meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional client service.
The Production Coordinator will assist both the Purchasing Agent and the Logistics Manager in their daily tasks, ensuring smooth operations in both departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in inventory purchasing and arrange inbound freight when required.
Maintain inventory levels and prepare purchase orders.
Provide data to the Engineering and Estimating departments as required.
Assist in yearly inventory.
Process shop issues, by entering all relevant data of the job into PowerFab, and preparing all documentation required for Production.
Purchasing material from Advance Bills for upcoming jobs.
Processing Purchase Orders
Prepare LEED documentation for required jobs.
Plan routes, and schedule pickup and drop offs.
Ensure that all transportation and shipping activities comply with safety regulations and permitting requirements.
Assist in planning daily task for painters, loaders, and delivery drivers to ensure product is coated, loaded, and shipped on schedule.
Verify and check that painting and loading activities have been completed and that trailers are loaded in accordance with the bill of lading.
Prepare shipping documentation.
Provide backup to purchasing agent, and logistic manager
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure company policies, procedures, and processes are followed.
Contributes to the ongoing efforts of eliminating accidents and incidents in the workplace.
Contributes to the ongoing efforts of ensuring a respectful workplace for all employees.
Participate in continuous improvement.
Contribute to the ongoing efforts of the quality assurance and LEAN Programs.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE
Education/Experience:
At least five (5) years' industry-related experience and/or training in purchasing, and logistics. Or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Training in Transportation with knowledge of US logistic requirements.
Certificate in purchasing/material procurement is considered an asset.
Experience working in purchasing or logistics in a production/manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
Valid Nova Scotia driver's license.
WHIMIS & Occupational Health & Safety is considered an asset.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge
Familiar with office equipment and software including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Internet, Adobe, and Tekla PowerFab (would be considered an asset)
