Gourmet Chef is a division of Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (TSX: PBH) which owns a broad range of leading specialty food manufacturing and differentiated food distribution businesses with operations.

We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and proactive Production Coordinator to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of our production floor. The ideal candidate will have completed a diploma or equivalent training from a trade school and be ready to apply their skills to manage the coordination of various production processes. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all departments work seamlessly together to meet production goals.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Provide hands-on support to operations shift supervisors, ensuring the smooth execution of all production activities and resolving any immediate operational issues Monitor and maintain the supply of ingredients, labor, materials, boxes, and other essential resources, ensuring that production runs continuously and efficiently Track and maintain accurate production records, monitoring time and quality goals to ensure consistent output and product standards Enter orders into the system and handle related administrative tasks, including invoicing, reporting, and updating production data Collaborate with key departments--Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, and Warehouse--to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, adjusting as needed based on production demands Work closely with the scheduler to track any updates, adjustments, or changes to production schedules, ensuring materials, labor, and time are properly allocated to meet shifting priorities Assist in coordinating and scheduling materials and labor, ensuring resources are aligned with production needs and timelines Create, update, and release production schedules based on demand forecasts, available resources, and any changes communicated by the scheduler or other relevant departments Coordinate with the Shipping & Receiving teams to ensure that all orders are shipped accurately and on time, with up-to-date records reflecting shipment status Manage special projects and additional tasks as required by the department, providing support wherever necessary to meet production and business objectives

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred Completed a diploma or equivalent education from a trade school (related field) Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment A self-starter who can identify and address issues proactively, with a strong problem-solving mindset Reliable with a proven track record of excellent attendance; flexible availability during peak periods as needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills
